The next International Symposium on Industrial Crystallization will be
held in Sorrento, Italy, from 15 September to 18th September
2002.
This series of triennial Symposia, started in 1960, is seen as the
main international conference in this field.
The Symposium is organized under the auspices of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) working party on Crystallization (WPC) by the "Associazione Italiana di Ingegneria Chimica" (AIDIC), is co-sponsored by AIChE and is the 630th event of the EFCE.
Over recent years there has been a huge growth of interest in industrial
crystallization, particularly from pharmaceutical, fine chemicals and food
companies, in order to seek better control in product quality.
Crystallization stands out from the other separation processes because
it offers the potential to combine purification and particle production
within a single step.
The Symposium is expected to provide a unique forum to discuss the latest advances in the theory and practice of crystallization. Its principal key aim is to gather people working on crystallization in different fields in industry, research centers and universities.
Papers are welcome from academic institutions and all the industries involved in in the different aspects of industrial crystallization: fundamental topics, new technologies, industrial and environmental crystallization processes, pharmaceutical , food and biochemical products, nanoparticles production, etc.
