The AIDIC Youth Working Group warmly welcomes all registered PhD students to an exciting evening of entertainment and networking at our pub quiz night.

Held in a delightful pub in the center of Florence, known for its vibrant nightlife, this venue is easily reachable on foot from the conference location. Savor authentic Italian cuisine and then dive into a lively group quiz.

INDUSTRY VISIT TO BAKER HUGHES (Nuovo Pignone)

The AIDIC Youth Working Group is delighted to offer registered PhD students a unique opportunity to visit Baker Hughes - Nuovo Pignone manufacturing facility on the final day of our conference (June 6), completely free of charge.
Baker Hughes is an energy technology company that provides solutions to energy and industrial customers worldwide.
Built on a century of experience and conducting business in over 120 countries, its innovative technologies and services are taking energy forward - making it safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet. In Florence, Baker Hughes manufactures, assembles, packages, and delivers mainly gas (NovaLT and Frame technologies for mechanical drive and power generation) and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors (for natural gas and H2 services).
Here are the mandatory requirements for the visit:
All visitors accessing the Baker Hughes workshops and production areas will be required to use safety glasses and wear safety shoes as well as other obligatory items as required and provided.
Furthermore, it is mandatory to wear suitable clothing that covers entirely legs and shoulders.
Participants will stay within the yellow lines and not cross them to access working areas, not part of the tour.
During the tour, smoking is forbidden in any area, both outdoors and indoors, within the plant area.
The use of cameras/cell phones to take pictures or video is prohibited.
Don't text while walking: be aware of the path.
Hold the handrail while using the stairs, when needed and available.

REGISTRATION ARE CLOSED

The duration of the tour is 60/75 mins approx. The participation is limited to 60 pax in 4 groups of 15, departing via bus from Villa Vittoria (ESCAPE 34/PSE 24 location) at 14:30 (two groups), and 15:00 (two groups). Allocation to the 4 slots will be according to the sequence of registration.
In order to allow Baker Hughes to arrange the proper set of safety shoes, please indicate your shoe size in the application form.
